I drove 3 hours to a family Thanksgiving dinner with a 9x13" lasagna inside this carrier. When I opened it at the destination, the dish was still steaming hot - almost too hot to handle! The 7mm EPE foam and aluminum foil lining really work. The exterior is tough and survived being jostled in the back seat. The zipper pocket held my serving utensils perfectly. Best $20 I've spent for potluck season.
I've had disasters with other carriers leaking through. The hot-pressed aluminum foil interior on this Norcho bag wiped clean easily after a small spill (my fault for overfilling the dish). Nothing leaked to the exterior. The 600D Oxford fabric feels durable and the waterproof coating is a lifesaver. Fits my standard 9x13" glass baking dish perfectly with room to spare for oven mitts.
This carrier fits my 9x13" Pyrex perfectly. However, my friend's 11x15" ceramic dish was too tight - it fit but the zipper wouldn't close completely. The specs say up to 11x15", but I'd recommend sticking closer to 9x13" for easiest closure. Insulation kept my mac and cheese hot for about 4 hours. Great for church potlucks and tailgates. Just measure your dish before buying.
Everyone always talks about keeping hot food hot, but this carrier works just as well for cold dishes. I pre-chilled the bag in the fridge for 30 minutes (probably unnecessary but I'm extra), then loaded my cold pasta salad. 5 hours later at an outdoor picnic in 85° F weather, the salad was still refreshingly cold. The black exterior looks sharp and hides stains. Very happy with this purchase.
My old casserole carrier had one strap that always slid off my shoulder. The two sturdy handles on this Norcho bag let me carry it balanced in one hand while holding my kid's hand with the other. The wide opening with zipper makes loading and unloading easy even when the bag is on a crowded buffet table. I've used it 6 times in 2 months - no wear or tear yet.
